Aris Houses are comprised of six separate housing facilities detached from each other; all were built about a century ago and restored in 1989 to original specifications. Located on the stone paved pedestrian footpaths of Kastro, they are prime examples of original Kastrian architecture (stone floors, wooden ceilings, low entrance doors, asymmetrical walls, etc.).
Each of the units has it’s own name, its own special character and benefit from being air-conditioned. Restaurants, shops and the bus stop are all within a 50 m. walk.
Portou is a traditional apartment composed of a bedroom with a built in double bed. There is a living room, which is open to the bedroom, but at a slightly lower level (3 interior steps) with two sofa-beds forming a corner couch, a separate equipped kitchen, and a large veranda with panoramic sea view.
Floreas is a traditional apartment built in two floors (maisonnette). The upper floor is composed of a main bedroom with a double bed, another bedroom with a built-in double bed and a built-in sofa, also used as a living room, and a balcony with a mountain view and limited sea view. An interior staircase leads to the lower level where there is an equipped kitchen, and a shaded veranda.
Bella is a traditional studio with sea view, in reality a detached little house of one open space. It is composed of a bedroom with a built in double bed, a living room corner with built-in sofa that is open to the bedroom, an equipped kitchen plus a terrace with sea view.
Romantica is a traditional studio with sea view. It is composed of a bedroom with a built in double bed, a living room corner that is open to the bedroom and has a built-in sofa, a slightly separate equipped kitchen, and a small veranda with sea view.
Konaki (restored in 1998) is a spacious, separate, traditional studio with kitchenette and a small terrace. This studio is within the fascinating footpaths of Kastro, surrounded by the unique architectural buildings of the village, therefore without a view.
Hantaki is a traditional double room with a mini fridge. This room is also within the unique footpaths of Kastro, surrounded by the unique architecture of the village therefore without view.
