Mycenae & Epidaurus

 

Driving through Daphne and Eleusis, you will pass over the Corinth Canal where you will have the chance to see the famous canal (78-meters high, 24-meters wide, 6,343-meters long and 12 meters deep).

 
Continuing along the coastal road of the Saronic Gulf, the tour arrives at Mycenae the legendary home of the Atreides that gave its name to Civilization throughout the Greek world. You will visit the famous "Tomb of King Agamemnon" and see the "Lion’s Gate", part of the great Cyclopean Wall.

 
After your visit of Mycenae you will continue driving through Argos to Nafplio, a beautiful and well-known town by the seaside, which was once the capital of Greece. Following lunch, the tour continues with a visit to the Sanctuary of Asklepios also known as the Theatre of Epidaurus, world famous for its acoustics.
 
Finally, you will return to Athens along the Epidaurus/Corinth road arriving back in Athens at 19:00.
