Mycenae - Nafplion - Epidaurus

 

Day 1: Departing from Athens in the morning and driving through Daphne and Eleusis you will pass over the Corinth Canal that seperates mainland Greece from the peloponese, where you will have the chance to see the famous canal (78-meters high, 24-meters wide, 6,343-meters long and 12 meters deep). 


Continuing from the Corinth canal, you will arrive in Mycenae, the legendary home of the Atreides that gave its name to civilization, spread throughout the Greek world. You will visit the well-known bee hive "Tomb of Agamemnon" and the "Lion’s Gate", which forms part of the famous Cyclopean Wall.


After visiting Mycenae you will depart for Nafplion, a beautiful town by the seaside, which was once the capital of Greece.

Lunch in Nafplion and an afternoon of free time.

Stay overnight in Nafplion.

Day 2: Morning free to see more of the picturesque town of Nafplion. Around noon, you'll leave for Athens, but on our way back you will visit the Sanctuary of Asklepios, home of the Theatre of Epidaurus, world famous for its acoustics.

Arrive in Athens in the evening at 19:00
