13 DAYS HONEYMOON TOUR TO GREECE (ATHENS – LESVOS ISLAND) & TURKEY ( IZMIR , KUSADASI , PAMUKKALE , ANTALYA , CAPPADOCIA , ANKARA )
Day 1st - Arrival/Athens
Arrival in Athens and transfer to your hotel. Afternoon is at leisure.Explore the City of Athens. Walk through the narrow streets of Plaka or take an optional excursion to Cape Sounion. In the evening enjoy a delicious Greek dinner in one of the numerous tavernas.
Day 2nd - fly from Athens/Lesvos
After breakfast, City Tour of Athens visiting the Acropolis, Parthenon, Erechtheion, Acropolis Museum.Drive past the Tomb of the Uknown Soldier, Panathenian Stadium, Temple of Zeus and lots more. Transfer to airport for your flight to Lesvos.
Arrival to beautiful Mytilene airport . Depart by taxi or hired car for the greenish, south part of the island, the most beautiful beach , Vatera. After about an hours drive (50-55 km), arrived to our Hotel .
Day 3th – Relax on the most beautiful beach of Lesvos :
While staying in Vatera, visit the nearby charming traditional village of Vrissa (3 km) and the Natural Historical Museum where you can see fossils thousands of years, old of fish, Elephants, Turtles and many other animal and plants. You can also visit the picturesque graphic fishing cape of Saint Fokas ( 4 km), Skala Polichnitos (15 Km), Nifida (17 Km) and the Natural Spring Waters in Polichnitos (8Km). On the first day we suggest you enjoy your swim in the most beautiful, longest and clean beach on Lesvos. It has been awarded the EEC Blue Ribbon for its clean water repeatedly. Then have a rest and taste of the delicious tasteful local food at a sea front Greek restaurant and a rest by the sea.
Day 4th - Explore Agiassos-Plomari-Gera Gulf:
After breakfast depart for the graphic village Agiasos (27 Km), a very green mountain traditional village which is very famous about the handmade earthen and woodcuts.
There we can enjoy a traditional Greek coffee made in hot ash and hand made dessert, before we continue our trip to Plomari (45 km approximately), one hour distance form Agiasos.
Plomari is famous about the Ouzo and its natural beauties. We will visit the Dilistery - Ouzo Museum VARVAGIANNI and then we will walk through the village’s alleys. We will have time for swimming to the beautiful beach Agios Isidoros, before we drive back to Vatera, driving through Perama, Evriaki and Keramia. Tonight you can enjoy live Greek music and Traditional Greek Dancing in our Hotel.
Day 5th – Sigri - Petrified Forest – Eressos :
After breakfast we suggest a visit the North - West part of the island, driving through Axladeri, Kalloni, Parakoila and Agra. Visit the Petrified Forest in Sigri (95 Km approximately) and the Natural Historical Museum in Sigri. After Sigri we will drive to Skala Eressos (10 Km approximately) to have a rest, lunch and a swim at the magical beach.
Day 6th - Kalloni – Petra – Molyvos :
After breakfast depart for the North part of the island, graphical Molivos, via Axladeri and Kalloni. It’s about a one and a half hours drive. Visit the castle and walk through the traditional cobble streets. We suggest lunch in a traditional tavern in the area of Vafios. After lunch depart for Petra (3Km) and Anaxos, where you can enjoy a coffee and a swim at Anaxos beach. Return to the Hotel early in the evening .
Day 7th – Departure from Lesvos to Turkey ( Ayvalik) :
After Breakfast early in the morning (06:30), we departure for Mytilene’s port for departure to Turkey. After customs, ferry departs at 08:30 for Turkey and arrives at Aivalik at 10:00 about , depending on the weather.
A taxi, mini bus (depends on the size of the persons) or a hired car will wait for you to take you to your Hotel in Izmir ( 2:30 hours drive about 200 km). Our tour begins with a short sightseeing tour in IZMIR including mount of PAGOS & AGORA , drive to SELÇUK , visit the shrine of Virgin MARY, ruins of EPHESUS; after lunch a visit to Museum of Selçuk; o/n in KUSADASI or SELÇUK. Day 8th - Pamukkale – Hierapolis :
Drive to PAMUKKALE (cotton castle) with its wonderful formations of stalacties, ancient city HIERAPOLIS with its necropolis & theatre. Overnight in PAMUKKALE.
Day 9th – Antalya – Riviera :
Continue to ANTALYA, the southern point of the Turkish RIVIERA, a very attractive city with shady palmlined Boulevards, Marina and a picturesque & dreamlike old Cityquarter called KALEIÇI. After lunch visit to the most attractive Museum of TÜRKIYE. Overnight in ANTALYA.
Day 10th – Antalya
Full day tour to the ancient cities of PERGE, ASPENDOS and SIDE, where you can see the last examples of gorgeous Roman Architecture. Overnight in ANTALYA.
Day 11th – Antalya – Cappadocia :
Early drive through Anatolian countryside to KONYA, city of whirling Derwishes, visit the Mausoleum of MEVLANA; continue to CAPPADOCIA with a stop at the Sultanhan Caravanserai , Overnight.
Day 12th – Cappadocia – Kaymakli-Avanos :
Full day tour in CAPPADOCIA including the valleys of GÖREME & ZELVE, one of the underground cities DERINKUYU (or KAYMAKLI) used by early christians for protection purposes; lunch enroute, continue to ORTAHISAR & AVANOS . Overnight in Cappadocia.
Day 13th - Ankara – Fly home :
After breakfast drive to ANKARA, visit the Museum of Anatolian Civilisations and Mausoleum of ATATÜRK. Transfer to the airport. (L) and fly for your home.
