Dorian Kokas

Dorian Kokas finally got out of Athens the only way left available to him. He died today sometime after midnight.

Dorian spent the last few years helping foreigners with paperwork, battling the forces of evil in the Greek ministries getting residence and work permits, citizenship, taxes and getting paid very little for it. You can see his website at www.athensguide.com/dorian  which has a number of helpful articles, even if Dorian can no longer help us.

For those who knew him or even if you did not know him and still want to pay your respects the Funeral is on Thursday 18 Nov, 15:30 at the Proto Nekrotafeio , St. Lazaros Chapel.

I had asked my friend George at Fantasy Travel to buy flowers for me. Then I thought about it and asked him to go out to dinner and buy flowers from one of the immigrants who sell them table to table in the restaurants. Then I thought what if everyone does this? Wouldn't that be great?

So if you are going to the funeral tomorrow find an immigrant and buy as many flowers as you can. And even if you don't go to the funeral buy some flowers from an immigrant in memory of my pal Dorian.
