Greek Islands
Mykonos

Mykonos, Greecemykonos, greecemykonos, greecesuper paradise beach mykonos greece

The first time I visited Mykonos was in 1970. It has changed a lot since then. Once it was an island of hippies and artists. Now it is an island of millionaire ex-hippies, famous artists, and it is the most popular party island for gays, straights, college students, families, honeymooners, famous people, cruise ships and college professors. A combination of beautiful beaches, nightlife that never ends, a variety of restaurants of every ethnicity and style, people-watching cafes on a spectacular waterfront, and the historical island of Delos accessible by daily excursion boats make Mykonos the kind of place where anyone would be happy to spend a week or so. With more daily boats from Athens than any other island and connections to more traditional islands like Tinos and Syros, as well as popular islands like Santorini, Paros and Naxos, Mykonos is easy to get to, hard to leave and fun to be there. Hotels of all categories and prices mean that you don't have to be as rich as Jackie O to visit. But if you are there is plenty to spend your money on. It is the best shopping island in Greece.
