What is the Price?
The price for all tours is $150 per day (including the day you arrive and the day you leave).  
What is Included?
Included items are hotels, all breakfasts, half the dinners, transportation (except air and First-Class overnight ship between Athens and Crete), all admissions to museums and archaeological sites, and guide services.
What is Not Included?
Not included are lunches and half the dinners.
Are There Any Supplemental Costs?
Yes, supplemental costs are $30/night for a single room, $110 each for domestic flights in Turkey tours (Athens-Samos, Dalaman-Istanbul, Istanbul-Antalya), $65 per day for travel by private yacht in Turkey, and $200 for First-Class overnight ship round-trip between Athens and Crete.  In individual itineraries flights are marked (A), days on the yacht are marked (Y), and the ship to and from Crete is marked (S).

    We'll leave Athens Jan 4 for Delfi (the Oracle of Apollo) and stay overnight.  On Jan 5 we'll visit the Oracle of Zeus on the way to Metsovo, a mountain village (and ski resort) east of Ioannina, high in the Pindos Mountains.  On Jan 7 we'll go to Meteora, a group of monasteries perched on top of cliffs, and then to the port of Volos.  On Jan 8 we'll spend the day exploring the villages of Mount  Pelion above Volos.  We'll go to Athens for the 9th and 10th to see the Akropolis, Agora, and National Museum. On the 11th we'll drive to Nafplion and visit Eleusis, Corinth, Mycenae, and Argos.  On the 13th we'll see the nearby island Spetses. After visits to Vasses and Olympia on the 14th we'll return to Athens on the 15th.

Greek Easter is April 23 and we'll spend the three days of the Easter holiday on Skopelos, most beautiful of all Greek islands.  We'll then spend 5 days in Thessaly, Macedonia, and Epiros, visiting spectacular alpine scenery and mountain villages.  During the time we'll see the incredible new museum at Vergina housing the tomb of Philip II, the cliff-top monasteries of Meteora, and the Vikos Gorge, Greece's Grand Canyon.  The tour ends with Delfi and Athens, and additional archaeological sites include the oracle of Zeus at Dodoni.

From Athens we'll fly to the island Samos and take the 90-minute ferry to Kusadasi, near Ephesus.  After a full day at the museum and site of Ephesus, we'll visit Miletus, Didyma, and Euromus on our way to Dalyan on the Mediterranean, where we'll board our private yacht.  For the next 2 days we'll pretend we're millionaires while visiting places like ancient Krya, inaccessible by land.  We'll leave the yacht at Fethiye and fly from Dalaman to Istanbul.  As a group we'll see Aya Sofia, Topkapi Palace, Kariye Museum, the archaeological museums, and take a private cruise of the Bosphorus; there'll be free time for other things like the imperial mosques and the Grand Bazaar.

After 2 days in Cairo for Giza, Saqqara, the Museum, etc., we'll fly to Luxor.  There we'll spend 3 days visiting the West Bank, Karnak, Luxor, and whatever we can talk the authorities into (like Dendarah).  Then we'll take a cruise boat for 4 days up the Nile to Aswan, seeing Esne, Edfu, and Kom Ombo enroute.  Then 2 days in Aswan to visit a Nubian village, the obelisk quarry, the High Dam, etc.  We'll drive to Abu Simbel to see the Temple of Rameses II, then fly back to Cairo.
