When Mike was 12 yars old on his island of Cyprus his family went for a picnic. They were never to return to their home again. While they were out enjoying the day his town was evacuated of it's Greek-Cypriot inhabitants and became part of Turkish Northern Cyprus. Not only were they refugees but all they had was what they had taken with them to the beach.

Like many Cypriot refugees they moved to England where Mike finished his schooling and then entered the travel industry, becoming an agent in London who specialized in Greece. It was through work that he met Rob Grey and the two of them put together their remarkable directory of hotels in Greece. In 1999 Mike moved back to Greece to be closer to his beloved island of Cyprus and more importantly to be closer to the hotels he represented and his customers who were visiting Greece.

Mike now makes his home on the island of Poros, commuting to Athens by ferry while running a full service travel agency that provides his clients with everything they need in Greece plus something even more important. Mike is truly a friend in Greece. He is a good natured, out-going social kind of guy who loves trading stories with a customer over dinner. Mike likes to have a good time and since going to Greece is all about having a good time that makes him an expert.
