“I’m not much of a
trekker.”
Our
walks let you experience Greece at your own pace. They're designed
for regular people—not Olympic athletes, just people who want to
really experience the best of Greece, not peer at it from a bus
window. On our walks, you can see, taste, smell and feel
Greece up close, first-hand, off the beaten track, and our guests
agree that walking is one of the best ways to enjoy what the country
has to offer.
“Can I do it?”
Daily walks on our walking trips range from about 2 to 4 hours
on varying terrain and trails. If you’re reasonably fit, do
some physical activity regularly, and can get up a flight or two of
stairs without panting, you can easily do our trips. And if
you run out of steam, you can always hitch a ride with the van at one of
the many stops it makes along our routes.
“I like a
challenge.” Keen walkers can
take advantage of optional walks or hikes which are available most
days.
“Which walk should I
do?” To help you choose a
walk that’s best-suited to you, our walking trips are graded.
WALK LEVELS:
Level 1 (Easy): 2-4 hours a day on
mostly flat terrain with little up or downhill.
Level 2 (Easy to Moderate):
2-5 hours a day on mostly flat or rolling terrain with hills not
exceeding 25% of the day's walk.
Level 3 (Moderate): 10-20 km a day
on mostly rolling or hilly terrain with some steeper climbs or
descents. |
