Located on the sandy beach of beautiful Mirabello Bay, 9 kms from Aghios Nikolaos and 2 km from the picturesque village of Elounda.

The hotel contains 3 restaurants, 2 bars, beach cafe, grill-cafe, spacious sun terrace, 6 sea-water swimming pools, children's playground, parking area, shops, TV-room, 2 elevators, hairdresser, massage cabinet, Turkish bath, laundry, lounge overlooking over the Cretan sea, 80-seat and 250-seat conference halls. Lounge chairs and sun umbrellas near the swimming pools and on the beach are free.

There are 102 standard rooms and 8 superior rooms are available. All rooms have marble bathroom, hairdryer, air-conditioner, music channel, direct-dial telephone, TV-set, mini-bar, safe boxes (in bungalows only). Bungalows also have a private swimming pool. Villas overlook the sea and consist of one, two or three bedrooms, spacious living room, large garden with private swimming pool. Five of the six floors of the main building are entirely wheelchair-accessible, including the bar and restaurants, the gymnasium, massage and hair parlour.

For entertainment there is a volleyball court, table tennis, golf, tennis courts, and water sports like scuba-diving, water-skiing, and snorkeling. Daily shows and programs, Greek folklore evenings or barbecues and of course the beautiful island of Crete which completely surrounds the hotel.

The Porto Elounda Golf Course is the only one on the island of Crete and provides an excellent environment for learning the game and for training. The course is a 9-hole par-3, yet the multiple tee design gives every hole two playing options, thus giving the impression of an 18-hole course. The hole lengths range between 55 and 125 meters.

The Club House is set amidst a picturesque Cretan square and offers a pro-shop and the Porto Elounda Golf Academy where instructor John Grundy, PGA improves every aspect of your game on the driving range, the putting green and the course itself. The training facility is just ideal for beginners, and for those who need to improve aspects of their game

The Conference and Seminars facilities at Porto Elounda offer a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere for up to 250 delegates, who will find the halls elegantly decorated and fully equipped for any audio and video presentation. The Isola di Candia hall, decorated in a rare collection of antique maps of Crete, and the Tilemachos board room with its splendid fireplace both enjoy discreet five-star service and secretarial services. Cocktails or coffee breaks can be hosted on the wide terrace over the conference area, overlooking the resort and offering stunning views over the Mirabello Bay. The magnificent Playiada around the Orthodox chapel of Prophet Elias, next to the shopping arcade and the gallery can host gala dinners for up to 500.
