Santorini (or in greek called Thera ) surely is one of the most spectacular and most beautiful islands on earth. It was shaped into its present form 3500 years ago, by one of the most violent volcanic eruptions in the history of mankind. The outcome was this island full of contrast and beauty. Kilometres
of black sand beaches alternate with presipitous crater walls rising to
up to 350 meters of height, and revealing breathtaking views on the azure
sea and the still active volcano. Views you will never forget.

The island is covered with fields and vineyards, yielding by far the best wine of Greece. In all the little villages on the island it feels like time is standing still. And who has not seen pictures of Fira, the capital, with its unique position high up on the edge of the crater!
